Two Year Old Soccer

We recently signed Kate up for Two Year Old Soccer at the local Park District.
It is very cute. Kate very much enjoys chasing balls and other two year-olds around the gym for a half an hour Saturday mornings, which is pretty much the extent of two year old soccer. We see it as a great start to her youth sports "athletic" career.

See, it's not all princesses, tea parties, and dress-up at the Davies house!

Meggie, the cutest cheerleader!

It's tough work being an all-star.

You Want to Play Princess With Me, Mom?

For Kate's 2nd Birthday my Mom and I put together a collection of dress-up clothes for Kate. She has just really started to get into them. Just about everyday when she wakes up from her nap she asks me, "You want to Play Princess With (wif) Me, Mom?" I love it and usually can't help but indulge.Kate loves it when we put outfits on Megan too. Sometimes Kate gets creative and tells me Meggie is the one who wants to play princess. It's so cute, I can't resist. The other day I was getting Megan in her room and Kate appeared at the door pink ballerina tutu in hand and said, "Meggie, look what I got for you. It's sparkly!" Kate declared Meggie, "So sparkly and so beautiful." Life with my two girls constantly makes me smile, just like looking at these pictures of my two little princesses.

By the way, the high heels are another must in the whole ensemble. She loves to clip-clop around in them all over the house!

Kate's 1st Day of Preschool

Today was Kate's first day at Gloryland Preschool. Kate loved getting her backpack ready for the big day, we talked about it for weeks, and it turned out to be a big success! Kate was very social at school, introducing herself to the other kids, and when it came time for us to leave her there she just said, "Bye Mom. Bye Dad. See you Later." That was it. I guess its good she feels so comfortable away from us, and I really didn't expect anything different. Kate will be going for two hours Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, and I think it is a great fit for both Kate and Mommy! I have only one question. How did my little girl get so big?
