Happy 1 Month Birthday Luke!

Wow, that has to be the fastest month of our lives! Luke is doing fabulously. He is adorable and we are all having fun fitting him into our family. He continues to sleep well and generally be very content. He consistently wakes up at 2 and 5 to eat though a few nights has only woken once. I love snuggling with him at night and it is never very hard for me to get out of bed for a little snuggle. Luke has the softest hair and I want to remember the feeling of him snuggled against my cheek forever. If only you could capture a feeling like a photograph. Luke has started smiling socially at my voice and might be a little of a Mommy's boy. He is a great nurser and is growing incredibly, already breaking the 12 lb mark. I was smart enough not to buy anything newborn size but even he is outgrowing my expectations. Luke is already in size 2 diapers, wearing some 6-9 month outfits, and is practically taking up the whole bassinet. He has one particular onesey that makes me laugh each time I put it on him, as it says Little Guy on the Go. Being the third baby he certainly is on the go. In his first month of life Luke has been to Great America three times, the Grayslake pool half a dozen, the sprinkler park several times, Mystic Waters, and many outings to the lake. Whenever I am out people tell me how I brave I am to have the newborn out. I look at them and think you know what brave is.... staying home all day with three kids under 5. When we are home in the evening Luke does get a little fussy, but out in his stroller he sleeps great. I have certainly learned how nice it is to have a baby in the spring. The girls LOVE Luke to pieces and argue over holding him. Kate helps to bathe him, burp him, and diaper him being quite the little Mom, and Megan talks to him so sweetly in her sprite-like voice. Our Luke had a great disposition and we think he is absolutely adorable. Happy 1 moth birthday Luke we adore you!

Put me in Coach!  I'm Ready to Play!

Kate's Preschool Graduation

Our little girl has finished her year of 3 year old preschool. She has grown so much over this year physically, emotionally, and academically.  She seems to have moved on from any toddlerness.  Kate really has done such a great job at school. She LOVES everything school related and especially loved being line leader and holding the flag for the pledge. Though she had some clashes over sitting on the letter K she did a great job getting along with the other kids.  She has learned so much this year and we couldn't be prouder of the good girl she is. Here are pictures from the morning that I am happy to have made it to!

Megan didn't quite make it to through the ceremony, so she played in the nursery!

Kate loved her teacher Miss Kathy who put together a beautiful book of pictures at the end of the year of each child that made me cry to look at.  What a special year this has been.
