While in Chicago last week Kate certainly expanded her food repertoire. Nana made her some spaghetti which she obviously loved, whole grain waffles, cranberries, and acquired some great kid appropriate treats. It was so helpful for me in getting ideas of great and healthy foods that Kate actually enjoys. She is way over that baby food stuff.

Kate has developed a little vocabulary over the past few weeks. She says Hi, Da-Da (Brian), Ma-Ma (Me), Be-Be (Herself, other kids, or pictures of babies), and Te-Te (Aunt K.K.). We adore these first words.

The picture of Kate with the spaghetti reminds me of one with Bri looking equally thrilled with having eaten pasta! What a sweetie pie she is! Nana and Katie look so happy with Kate-she is one lucky girl to have so many people who love her! Love, Gammie

One of my favorite stages is when they can understand everything you say yet not quite communicate it verbally back. It's such fun knowing they can understand you. Enjoy your holidays. I'm sure you'll be busy!
